libkmlbase1 software package provides Library to manipulate KML 2.2 OGC standard files - libkmlbase, you can install in your Ubuntu 16.04 LTS (Xenial Xerus) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libkmlbase1
libkmlbase1 is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libkmlbase1 package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libkmlbase1 *
You will get with libkmlbase1 package name, version, architecture and description in a table
